A&E Gütermann supports Berlin City Mission

Spende Berliner Stadtmission

Thread donation to sewing lab

For more than 140 years, the Berlin City Mission has assumed social and charitable responsibility for people in need in and around Berlin. The areas of work range from help for the homeless and refugees to creative and future-oriented projects for children and young people. All these projects are about people meeting people and mostly about being a competent support and a helping hand for those who unfortunately are not standing on the sunny side of life.

‘We stay at home’ is unfortunately not an option for people who do not have a real home. This affects hundreds of thousands of people in Germany. In times of Corona, the Berlin City Mission would like to provide important protective measures precisely for this reason, in order to protect those in need as well as City Mission employees from infection. The people in need are already in a difficult social situation. They have no place of retreat and there is a drastic lack of medical care. This situation has now become even worse due to COVID-19.

For this reason, the Berlin City Mission has committed itself to setting up a sewing laboratory to sew up to 400 mouth and nose masks a day for the needy and Berlin City Mission employees. We think a great initiative! This is why A&E Gütermann is pleased to support the Berlin City Mission sewing lab with a generous thread donation.
