HIGG INDEX
The Higg Index, an assessment tool for measuring sustainability performance along the textile value chain, has been common practice at A&E Gütermann since 2014. Thanks to our transparent sustainability concept, our European headquarters in Gutach received the Higg Index certification for the first time in 2016.

Staying ahead through efficient energy management: We continuously improve our energy performance certificate and take the regular revision of our energy targets seriously. Our energy management certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 also proves this.

ZDHC
Together for a responsible chemicals management: A&E Gütermann is proud to be a member of the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) initiative. We are thus committed to eliminating hazardous chemicals in our manufacturing process and complying with the Manufactured Restricted Substances List.

GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD
The GRS standard makes it possible to record the exact proportion of recycled material in yarn products and to track it throughout the entire value chain. In addition, this standard ensures that social, environmental and chemical regulations are adhered to during production, e.g. by complying with social standards and banning harmful substances.

SEDEX
A&E Gütermann is SMETA (SEDEX) Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit certified. This is a widely recognised social audit method that promotes the exchange of information on ethical business practices within the supply chain.
