Pro-Care certified A&E Gütermann sewing threads for workwear and PPE for washing processes 2 and 8.
The Saxon Textile Research Institute (STFI), a non-profit organisation, has tested and certified various product lines of sewing threads used in workwear and safety clothing, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15797, after washing programmes 2 (white workwear) and 8 (coloured workwear). The STFI confirms that the sewing threads are suitable for use in workwear and protective clothing after pre-treatment in an industrial laundry in accordance with EN ISO 15797:2018 and EN ISO 30023:2021.

This certificate proves that the tested sewing threads are suitable for manufacturing workwear and protective clothing for professional laundering in accordance with EN ISO 15797:2018, including tumble drying or tunnel finishing.
This standard outlines various standardised washing and drying procedures that simulate industrial washing and drying processes. Various washing programmes involving different temperatures and detergents are employed to simulate the stresses of professional washing, ensuring that the clothing retains its functionality, shape and color.
