Trade fair report h+h 2024

h+h, the leading international trade fair for handicrafts and hobbies, took place in Cologne from March 22 – 24, 2024 under the motto “Creative Empowerment”.

The world’s largest spectrum of products, innovations and trends in sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery and handicrafts was presented to specialist retailers from all over the world.

The figures confirm a successful trade fair weekend: around 12,000 visitors from 78 countries attended h+h in Cologne. They were not only inspired by 300 exhibitors from 40 countries, but also by the new zone concept of h+h, which focused primarily on the transfer of knowledge on business-relevant aspects.

A&E Gütermann was once again represented at this year’s h+h cologne with the consumer brand Gütermann creativ. The exhibition stand was redesigned for this purpose. The result was an open exhibition stand with bright colors to perfectly showcase the Gütermann creativ products. The extremely positive reactions confirmed the success of the new concept.

The wide range of products was clearly presented in different areas. There were different sections for the Gütermann creativ products, divided into themes.
In addition to the existing range, new products were also presented. The focus was on the new, innovative Outdoor 40 sewing thread and the Cute and Pink Limited Edition sewing thread sets.

Outdoor 40 is the sewing thread for hobby sewers for outdoor applications. In addition to its particularly high tear and abrasion resistance, it is also highly UV-resistant. As a result, Outdoor 40 retains its color fastness and withstands environmental and weather conditions for a long time.

The five sets of the Limited Edition Cute and Pink pick up on the trend color pink and consist of different combinations of our Sew-all Thread, the universal sewing thread for beautiful and strong seams, and the metallic effect thread W331. The Cute and Pink Limited Edition sets are available in different versions, optionally in combination with practical accessories for creative sewing projects.

Master tailor and TV celebrity Inge Szoltysik-Sparrer was the contact person at the stand for visitors who had application-specific questions about the products. She has created seam samples with our products on various fabrics and materials to illustrate their use.

Our team can look back on three exciting and successful days at the fair and would like to thank all our customers and visitors for the interesting and creative exchange. We look forward to h+h 2025 opening its doors again.
